Will You Save Nature For Later?
Let's get introduced
We, the people at Mother Earth Community for Change Association started a Non Profit Organisation with the mission to preserve nature in all its beauty and protect life on planet Earth! We fight for sustainability, renewable energy, clean air and definitely more forests!
What we believe in
Sustainable Living Conditions
We believe in a lifestyle that attempts to reduce an individual’s or society’s use of the Earth’s natural resources, and one’s personal resources. It is often called as “earth harmony living” or “net zero living”. We attempt to reduce our ecological footprint (including the carbon footprint) by altering mindsets around methods of transportation, energy consumption, and/or diet. We and our members aim to conduct our lives in ways that are consistent with sustainability, naturally balanced, and respectful of humanity’s symbiotic relationship with the Earth’s natural ecology. The practice and general philosophy of ecological living closely follows the overall principles of sustainable development.
Air pollution occurs when harmful or excessive quantities of substances including gases (such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, methane and hydrogen sulfide), particulates (both organic and inorganic), and biological molecules are introduced into Earth’s atmosphere. It may cause diseases, allergies and even death to humans and other living beings; it may also cause harm to other living organisms such as animals and food crops, and may damage the natural or built environment. Both human activity and natural processes can generate air pollution – we have to know what is in the air we breathe, and attempt to raise awareness on this topic.
Renewable energy is energy that is collected from renewable resources, which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. Renewable energy often provides energy in four important areas: electricity generation, air and water heating/cooling, transportation, and rural (off-grid) energy services.
At least 30 nations around the world already have renewable energy contributing more than 20 percent of energy supply. National renewable energy markets are projected to continue to grow strongly in the coming decade and beyond. At least 47 nations around the world already have over 50 percent of electricity from renewable resources and we need to aim higher.
Reforestation is the natural or intentional restocking of existing forests and woodlands that have been depleted, usually through deforestation. Reforestation can be used to rectify or improve the quality of human life by soaking up pollution and dust from the air, rebuild natural habitats and ecosystems, mitigate global warming since forests facilitate biosequestration of atmospheric carbon dioxide, and harvest for resources, particularly timber, but also non-timber forest products. In the beginning of the 21 century more attention is given to the ability of reforestation to mitigate climate change as one of the best methods to do it.
In Romania we have been having serious problems with corruption leading to wide-scale illegal logging and we must do all that is in our power to stop this phenomenon and increase reforestation activities !
We Follow The #EUGreenDeal
Becoming the world’s first climate-neutral continent by 2050 is the greatest challenge and opportunity of our times. To achieve this, the European Commission presented the European Green Deal, the most ambitious package of measures that should enable European citizens and businesses to benefit from sustainable green transition. Measures accompanied with an initial roadmap of key policies range from ambitiously cutting emissions, to investing in cutting-edge research and innovation, to preserving Europe’s natural environment.
Supported by investments in green technologies, sustainable solutions and new businesses, the Green Deal can be a new EU growth strategy. Involvement and commitment of the public and of all stakeholders is crucial to its success.
Above all, the European Green Deal sets a path for a transition that is just and socially fair. It is designed in such a way as to leave no individual or region behind in the great transformation ahead. READ MORE >
So, let's build awareness together...
Meet Airly. Our dedicated partner for Air Quality Sensors.
We want to know what is in the air we breathe ! The Airly sensors are designed and built in the European Union, they are easy to install and can measure the air quality in your immediate surroundings. They measure the concentration of PM1, PM2.5, PM10 and optionally irritant gasses SO2, H2S and others. Where national networks transmit data to the EU, Airly sensors are calibrated with the reference stations to provide accurate data.
